Creative Ways to Extend Your Organic Reach
Investing in paid ads are pretty standard (and sometimes mandatory) in today's digital marketing world. But for businesses with a tight marketing budget, there are a lot of different ways to take expand your organic reach without spending any money. Some of my favorites are Snapchat takeovers, Twitter chats, and employee features on your social media. These are all tactics that you can use that engage your employees while not spending any extra money.
Snapchat takeovers are easy because all you have to do is have your team members take over for a day. Team members can show the public what it's like to work at your company and what the day-to-day life of an employee consists of. By tapping into your employee's audience on their personal accounts, it creates an opportunity for the content to reach more people.
Twitter chats are great because it is an open, honest conversation, but you have the power to control the message at the same time. Use a hashtag so that participants can follow the conversation, ask questions, and be active. Afterwards, you can even write a blog post about what was discussed.
Employee features are a fun way to not only give your company culture a boost but it shows a more human side to your brand. Have team members share a photo, personal story, workplace achievement, or funny office happening on social media. Birthdays, work anniversaries, and promotions provide the perfect photo opp for social media.
